Interstate is a privately held company that has been making batteries since the 1950’s.  If you’re in the market for a battery a Interstate battery will be a great choice.   A Interstate battery is backed by a reputation known for quality products, reliable customer service and leads the pack on battery innovation.

Interstate has built there company off of old fashion principles like hard work and providing the consumer with a quality product that builds repeat customers. You cannot go wrong with a Interstate battery.

Interstate currently employs over 1,350 employees nationwide.  The company is set in to three distinct entities:

  • Interstate Power Care
  • Interstate All Battery center
  • Interstate Battery System of America, INC.

The guy that brought Interstate to reality was John Searcy. He stated Interstate batteries in the Dallas Fortworth area. But as all good things come to an end John retired in 1978. In the 1980’s the company really stated to pick up steam branching out and having distributors in all 50 states. Interstate backed with a powerful marketing campaign stated to build it’s house hold name with sponsorships like Nascar, Motocross and power rodeo standout Callie Griffith as well as many other marketing endeavors.

In my opinion there is just no better company that provides the level of service that Interstate does.  They have many competitors such as:

  • Deka battery
  • Exide battery
  • Optima battery
  • Trojan battery

All are great quality batteries and will also be a good choice.  I know I talk up Interstate, but I will say that I also have Trojan and Optima car batteries running in my kids cars.  But I do run Interstate Batteries in my 23’ bass boat with a 36 volt series wired system.  I have had the same Interstate batteries in my boat for 4 years now.  They are the USRM8V21model.  All I do is keep water and balance the electrolytes in them and they just keep on plugging away.

A Interstate car battery might be what you’re looking for if you’re buying a car battery.  One watch out when purchasing car batteries is to be sure you have the right cranking amps and that the battery will fit in the holding tray. The holding tray will also have a locking mechanism that’s intended to keep the battery from bouncing around and wither causing damage or being damaged.

As you can see with Interstate you have innovation and quality all bundled up into one solid company.  They provide a quality battery at an affordable price.  Are there other higher end batteries on the market…sure there are, but for the price you can’t go wrong with an Interstate battery.
